About Quinn Mayberry
Quinn chose the plaintiff's side because he wanted a practice centered on people rather than institutions. At Mayberry Law, he brings Harvard legal training to personal injury, Social Security disability, workers' compensation, and civil rights matters. His work spans administrative hearings, California courts, and federal civil rights litigation.
Why plaintiff-side law
Out of law school, Quinn had offers from large corporate firms — and turned them down. He grew up watching his father build a practice representing everyday people, and decided that was the job worth doing. Today he represents individuals, not institutions: people navigating an injury, a denied disability claim, or a violation of their rights, usually against an insurer or government agency with far more resources.
Training and approach
Quinn earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School and practices in California state and federal courts, handling matters from Social Security hearings to federal civil rights litigation. He came to law from the hard sciences, a background that pays off in injury and disability cases — which are won or lost in medical records.
Writing and teaching the law
Quinn taught jurisprudence at Cal State Long Beach, and he writes and speaks about the legal system for general audiences — grounded in the belief that people deserve to understand the rules that govern them.
Outside the office
Quinn is a triathlete and a former competitive soccer and tennis player. He spends as much time outdoors as he can — hiking, and working his way through the national parks. He lives in Santa Monica.
